Simple Organization Chart for creating a WBS
Please provide simple Organization Chart Shapes to facilitate creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) - the existing Org Chart Templates are over the top

Follow the user's order when placing people in an orgchart rather than randomly.
Currently the orgchart places people at random locations. Use the order that the user has in their original data source

Provide the print capability (or copy paste) to see the subordinate icon one uses Subordinates>Hide Subordinates.
Provide the print capability (or copy paste to word or powerpoint) to see the subordinate icon when one uses Subordinates>Hide Subordinates. When setting up an Organization Chart with hundreds of employees or more, not all can be viewed or printed on a single sheet. The use of synchronized subordinates is helpful and allows for viewing these departments across a number of pages; however, Visio shows a small hierarchy icon on a manager when they are hidden but when you attempt to print (or copy paste into another document) the icon does not appear.

Auto name tabs on org charts
When creating an org chart from excel, name the tabs created using the field on the excel file. For instance break page by department
There are 4 departments: Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance
The tabs should be named by department.
Specially for large organizations with more than 20 departments. I think it would be useful2 votes -
I suggest to include more options to break page by on org charts for instance: by department, by org or any other field
When creating org charts from excel, having more options to break pages by department or org or any other field in the excel file would be helpful

Update Link feature to add/remove employees
The link feature works great for updating employees names and titles, but it would be great if it could automatically add/remove employees removed from the data source, and move under a different manager if they change positions. Currently I have to run a new org chart every time i make a change, because when I manually add an employee they will not link to the data sheet.

Bring back the configuration submenu for positioning the infomation inside the Orgchart Shapes
The new Orgchart has no longer the config menu for positioning the Shape data - so the idea is to use the data graphics to Show it as text - but using the data graphics text you are not able to get the same design - it`s a problem to bring them aligned to the box - the previous menu was much easier to use - another point is to get a simple - call it boring - non design, just a box, version of an OrgChart box back again

Not every org chart requires a photo!
Bring back the plain org chart shapes. Not every org chart requires a photo, i.e. during reorgs and restructuring. We need plain org chart boxes too!

Make an organization chart template without pictures
It would be great if there was an organization chart template that didn't include pictures. More room for text and gets rid of that useless space.

save the color settings depending on the values
It would be helpful if I can save the color settings.
For example, on my org chart, I would like to color CEO as blue, VP as green and etc.
The default color setting changes everytime I upload the new excel files and would be nice if visio can save the settings depends on the values.1 vote -
automatic arrangements
If you have multiple shapes that you want to arrange symmetically, it would be helpful to have a positioning feature that works without connectors

Make layouts more personalised
Currently the pre-set org charts work well for smaller orgs, but for larger organisation you need to be able to automatically create several rows under each manager so that the chart isn't 10 pages long.
