Add ability to save out each tab as a separate file
It would be great to be able to break a Visio file with lots of tabs/pages into a separate files for each tab/page without having to manually copy each one, paste it into a new project, and save it.
In documents with lots of figures, I like to be able to work on all of them within a single file, but at the end our publications process requires breaking them back out into separate files.
If you don't want a third party add-on or duplicating Visio files:
You can also separate figures by opening your pdf and selecting 'print as pdf' then selecting the page(s) you want as a separate file.
Me too! This is terrible.
I'd tackle this by creating a number of copies of the original diagram, then manually deleting the tabs you don't want.
Example: I have a visio diagram with four separate tabs. One is named Leads, second one is Oppoertunity, third is Quotes and fourth is Sales.
Save four copies of the file.
Name the first "Lead", second "Opportunity", third "Quotes", last is "Sales".
In the visio file named "Leads", delete the Opportunity, Quotes and Sales tabs.
In the visio file named "Opportunity" delete the Lead, Quote and Sales tabs.
In the visio file named "Quotes" delete the Lead, Opportunity and Sales tabs.
In the visio file named "Sales" delete the Lead, Quote and Opportunity tabs.
Third party add-on Super Utilities and Tools for Microsoft ® Visio can do it !
