Add Data Visualizer to Visio 2016

Is there a plan to add Data Visualizer to Visio 2016 too? Right now it looks like it is only available for Visio Pro for Office 365. Thanks!

    hey, I installed the visio plan 2 free trial, however, the data visualizer was also not available, i contacted microsoft about it and i am waiting for an answer, but it is extremely annoying since many employees do not have an idea about it.
    can you guys help me to be able to try the data visualizer in someway

    Help me understand what i need to be able to properly use the Visio data Visualizer. I read that I need the online 2 option but one of my associates seems to be able to utilize with just Vision 2016 pro. Please advise

    My company just purchased a licence for Visio 2016 Pro, I expected to be able to use Data Visualizer to decrease the amount of documentation I have to do. What a loss of productivity.

    My company has O365 Pro but not Visio Online. I wamted to try Data Visualization feature but It before I asked my company to purchase a license for me. I got a trial subscription to Visio Plan 2 but data visualizer is NOT included in that apparently. Is this correct? Is the Plan 2 Trial the same as the Plan 1 trial?

    This is really a limitation for the users of Visio 2016 desktop.
    I understand that MS wants to promote 365, but not all companies / individuals can afford that.
    Irrespective of the budget, Data Visualizer is something that would save me, literally, hours per day, and I have to assume switching to 365 for Visio as well, which does not appeal to me because of the unreasonable cost per month only for Visio.

    This makes really no sense. No one would switch to Visio 365 only because of Data Visualizer alone: companies do not measure cost savings that way...

    Please MS do implement your improvements to Visio 2016 as well. We also purchased Visio and we are your customers as well. Please behave.

    Yes. This sucks and it's confusing. Why is there a feature parity between Desktop Visio 2016 Pro only Office 365 Visio Pro.

    there are many scenarios in which the link provided won't work. My organization uses O365 and I have desktop version of Office Products. Org doesn't allow signup. Why is it that people are asking if available in Visio Pro 2016 (desktop) but you don't offer a straight forward answer - only point them to O365? What I mess Microsoft has created and preferential treatment (features) for O365 that are not being provided in the desktop products.

    How can be that Visio 2016 does not get this? Is that only subscribers to 365 work with data? I also use data linking all the time as an expert user and I cannot understand why Visio Pro 2016 is not getting this.
