Able to choose the grid colors
1) Able to choose the grid color. Shades of gray or other user's color choices.
2) Grid with more shades help to pin point a grid section when working with multiples SCALES such as inches, feet and others scales.
3) In Visio version #1 released in 1992 their was a dynamic green cross that moved in sync with the cursor allowing comparing a pair of two values with the grid.. Need more reasearch about that...
Thanks so much!

This is a usability and accessibility issue, which needs to be addressed!
The link (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/3c2aafe8-983b-40d7-9dd7-b37c272488bd/contrast-of-grid-in-visio2013?forum=visiogeneral
) describes a registry hack that allowed me to change the Grid color. However, that needs to be made available from within Visio. You should not need to hack the registry!
It is interesting to me that samples from Visio 2010 and Visio 2013, given in the link, do appear different to me! I have had cataract surgery (both eyes) an elected to go with “multi-focal” lenses – which are know to affect the eye’s sensitivity to contrast. Maybe that could explain why this bothers some users more than others…
I have also provided feedback to Microsoft, through the Feedback Hub.
