Import a Visio diagram from local store or network share
Please allow import Microsoft Visio diagram from local store or network share to the Power BI.
This is important feature when diagrams are not published in SPO or OneDrive but available inside local or network share.

This is currently a cumbersome, fragile architecture which reduces the use cases and usability of this visual and therefore reduces the use of Visio itself. From the Power BI perspective, the only other visuals I'm aware of that use a similar architecture are maps - for that scenario it's understandable, but for a static diagram it seems silly.
There are probably millions more Power BI users than Visio users, so the Visio team is missing a big opportunity here. Why did you make it so hard to get started with this visual?
This feature would be very useful for my organization, especially during the development, testing, presentation and demoing of new reports and dashboards.
Here's another vote for this suggestion. We should be able to import local/desktop files in the Visio Connector. Enabling cross-site scripting on SharePoint presents too many security complications.
