Hi,
Visio Online Plan 1 or Plan 2 license is required for you to continue editing Visio visuals inserted in your reports. If your trial is over, you'll see the field mapping pane greyed out for new Visio visuals you insert and change diagram link disabled for existing visuals you might have inserted using trial.
Thanks,
Shakun

Hi Shankarnarayanan,
Editing should ideally work if you have Visio Online Plan 1 license. Did you try after a few minutes of getting the license? To help you further on this, please connect with us at tellvisio[at]microsoft[dot]com.

Hi Bob,
Great Idea, thanks!
Visio Visual for Power BI works with any data set/stream that Power BI supports. Power BI takes care of data here, while Visio takes care of visualization of this data on top of real-world diagrams, like a floorplan in the example you shared. If you connect Power BI to IoT data, let's say Azure stream, Visio Visual will respond to the changes in the data set just like it would do for static data. Hope this helps. Thanks. -

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately, supporting Visio Visual for Power BI Report Server isn't planned in the medium term.-Shakun

Hi, we need more information on this. Please drop us an email at visio-feedback[at]microsoft[dot]com
Hi,
I am not sure if I understood your question well. Let me know if you think the below suggestion is not applicable to your scenario.
May be try this: Add a numeric column to your data to signify different positions in the organization. Use this column to add color overlays to shapes. So when you update your excel with new data, and then refresh the dataset in Power BI, and refresh your report, overlays would update based on data.
Thanks,
Shakun
